The Maddalena Archipelago is a group of islands in the Strait of Bonifacio ( between Corsica and north-eastern Sardinia ).
It consists of seven main islands and one of these is Budelli.
The particularty of these islands is that, as you can see in the picture, all the grains of the sand are PINK.
That is the reason why , every year, lots of tourists who spend there their summer holidays take away little sandbags and it is becoming a big problem for the preservation of the natural environment.
Sometime happen that some remorseful collectors go back to the islands to take back the pink sand ( also after some years he has stolen it!!!!!!) .
An anonymous woman take back the sand to a museum, instead of other people prefer to sell it on e- bay !!!
IT IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
